I wish I could capture the sunset this evening. The clouds were luminous--luminescent like goldfish. They moved fast across the sky, vivid and orange pink. Against the dark blue-gray-brown clouds above them, they looked almost two dimensional. I had the child's urge to reach out and touch.
Along with the pleasure of of the spectacle, the pleasure of association. I thought the sky looked like an opal, perhaps my favorite stone. I thought of Maxfield Parrish. I thought of Klimt's Goldfish. And then the sun set. Somehow the pleasure of soaking in the sunset has inspired me to treat myself to a good long bath. I hope your evening is lovely, too.
